Weekly Poll Results: Biggest Disappointment of Summer 2011

Last week we asked you guys to take a look back at the summer blockbusters and name your biggest disappointment of the season. While there was some debate over whether or not something can still be disappointing if you didn’t have high expectations going in, Green Lantern ended up topping the poll with 21.8% of the votes. Hey, I kinda thought it might be a pleasant surprise… unfortunately not. Not far behind were Cowboys & Aliens and The Hangover: Part II, while Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Conan the Barbarian rounded out the top 5. At the other end of the spectrum, Kung Fu Panda 2 earned the distinction of being the least disappointing disappointment of the summer, according to Film Junk readers.     I still say The Hangover part 2 was the biggest dissapointment. Behind that Transformers then Green Lantern.

    Kung Fu Panda 2 in the top 10 dissapointment of 2011?! Are you crazy? It was a great movie! Way funnier than the first one. Easily the best animated movie of 2001

    The only ones I was anticipating for so long were Transformers 3 and Cowboys and Aliens. C&A was ok, but I walked out of Transformers. I think I’m done with the Autobots.

    as I´ve said earlier Kung Fu Panda 2 was awesome and more likely to be in my top ten movies of the year rather than top ten disappointments..
