Spanish director Rodrigo Cortés made a big impression at Sundance last year with his English language debut, Buried, which starred Ryan Reynolds as a man trapped in a coffin underground for the entire duration of the film. While a gimmick like this can wear out its welcome very quickly, he was able to keep the film tense and engaging to the end. Now Cortés is back with another original story called Red Lights and an impressive cast that includes Robert DeNiro, Sigourney Weaver, Cillian Murphy, Toby Jones and Elizabeth Olsen.

The story revolves around a psychologist (Weaver) who is investigating some paranormal phenomena and receives help from a world renowned psychic (DeNiro) who returns after a 30-year absence. Not much else is known about the film thus far, and the first teaser trailer does little to shed light on the situation. It does, however, strike an ominous tone and manages to get me somewhat interested in a new Robert DeNiro movie, which is saying something. What do you think of the teaser trailer?
