I’m really wary and dubious of mainstream movies that cover the porn industry. Unless it’s something like Boogie Nights, which evokes a period in time but doesn’t attempt to be historically accurate, I think it’s all a big tease really. Wasn’t Lindsay Lohan attached to the other Lovelace movie? I suppose there is some material worth mining in regard to the morality of the industry and the effect it has on the people. But really how many people are going to be watching this movie for that, and how many people are going to be watching to see Olivia Wilde get naked? I think a whole lot more of the latter.

I’d be pretty disappointed if this came to pass. Wilde is a great actress and I’m really uninterested in seeing her play a pornstar. Plus this will mean more time away from House, and that would upset me deeply.

If you type “Linda Lovelace” in a google image search with the safesearch off, you get bestiality photos with chicks performing oral sex on what appears to be a horse pretty high up in the search.

Really? Linda Lovelace really wasn’t all that interesting beyond pioneering a modern porn staple. Why all the heat on a biopic about her? The situation surrounding Deepthroat was definitely pretty interesting but Lovelace herself was just, in the parlance of the time, “Street Meat”.
