30 Minutes or Less Trailer Starring Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari

Just a couple of days ago I was complaining that there were no comedies worth looking forward to this year, but thankfully it seems that I may have spoken a little too soon. A new red band trailer for the upcoming film 30 Minutes or Less has hit the web this weekend, and it definitely has a lot of potential. The movie finds director Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) reteaming with Jesse Eisenberg for a heist comedy. The plot revolves around two would-be criminals who kidnap a pizza delivery man and force him to rob a bank for them. He has less than nine hours to do so or else he will forfeit his life.

Eisenberg plays the hapless pizza delivery guy, who ropes in his friend, the always excitable Aziz Ansari. Add in Danny McBride, Nick Swardson and Michael Peña, and you just might have a winner here. Aziz Ansari has really been growing on me with the more I see of Parks and Recreation, and I suspect the majority of the film will rely on him and Jesse Eisenberg bouncing off each other. It seems like a good pairing to me, and I think we can count on Ruben Fleischer to bring some visual interest to the film as well. What do you think, will this be one of the summer comedies that everyone is talking about come August? 30 Minutes or Less hits theatres on August 12th; check out the trailer after the jump.

  • This looks hilarious. Parks and Recreation is one of my favorite comedies on TV right now, glad to see Aziz getting more work.

first trailer to actually make me laugh in a while! i’ve a feeling this wasn’t one of those comedy trailers that shows every funny scene in the movie either. looks promising.
