As we await the arrival of Will Ferrell on The Office in a couple of weeks, the trailer for his latest film Everything Must Go has hit the web. The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and it finds him once again branching out into slightly more dramatic territory not unlike such films as Stranger Than Fiction and Winter Passing. But will it still be funny enough to satisfy fans of his more wacky comedies? If this trailer is any indication, it looks like it will.

Based on a story by Raymond Carver, the movie finds Ferrell playing a relapsed alcoholic who loses his job and his wife in the same day. He holds a yard sale on his front lawn to get rid of his belongings, and eventually befriends a new neighbour who gives him a fresh perspective on life. The movie also stars Laura Dern, Michael Peña and Rebecca Hall, and it seems to mix a melancholy tone with a dry sense of humour.
