NBC’s Wonder Woman Costume Looks a Bit Different in Action
A couple of weeks ago, when Entertainment Weekly revealed the very first official photo of Adrianne Palicki in costume as the new Wonder Woman, the general reaction wasn’t so much one of outrage as it was bemused disbelief. How could something like this ever get approved, much less shown to the general public? It seemed like they were going for sexy and just went too far. In all fairness, it did stay somewhat true to the original costume design, and perhaps the outfit could still be salvaged if they just toned it down a bit.
Well, today some photos from the set of the Wonder Woman pilot found their way online, and lo and behold, they have indeed made some adjustments to the suit. It’s not clear if this is due to the fan response or just for the sake of practicality, but in these new action shots the costume looks a lot less shiny, the makeup is barely visible, and the boots are back to the classic red. It definitely looks a lot more acceptable, although the hotness factor seems to have gone down a few notches as a result. But is that actually Adrianne Palicki in these pictures or is it her stunt double? Either way, what do you think of the new Wonder Woman costume in action?
