Taken was completely awesome in what it set out to be, a revenge flick. It’s fast-paced, with a sympathetic lead who also kicks all kinds of ass.

You completely identify with Neeson with the set up at the start, and then you get to live vicariously through him as an ass-kicker for the last two-thirds of the movie. In my opinion, Taken doesn’t get *enough* love.

Also another bonus (for me): the runtime. Really ups the rewatchibility for me when you don’t have to commit 2+ hours to see a movie, especially an action one. More movies need to commit to a 100-minute runtime to tighten up the pacing.

I enjoyed Taken for what it is but its not a great movie, just entertaining.

Someone please explain to me why Taken is so great? it has a lot of bad acting. The plot is predictable…it’s just a Nicolas Cage movie with Liam Neeson instead.
