He thought it was stupid to put it at the beginning of the film.

You obviously appreciated the film more than I did, but I do think it’s worth a watch; if you can’t see it in the theatre, it should look great on Blu.

I’m actually surprised to hear that I wasn’t the only one ticked off by the dedication. I had chalked that up as a pet peeve.

I did assume Weir was purposely dragging things out in order to really hit you with the feeling of isolation and exhaustion. I did get slightly bored at times in the latter half, but overall I still enjoyed the film, but it’s not one I can see myself re-visiting anytime soon.

I’ve heard several people complain about the opening dedication, but it really did not bother me at all.

Thoughts on Colin Farrell’s Russian? I thought he did a pretty good job. I like that guy from Fifty Dead Men Walking too, pretty decent actor from the two things I’ve seen him in.

Amazing how little notice this film is getting…
