After years of talking up a possible Pee-Wee Herman comeback, it’s great to see that Paul Reubens has successfully clawed his way back into the public eye with an all-new Broadway show. During the show’s well-reviewed run at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre late last year, Reubens appeared in character on a number of talk shows and also on WWE Raw. Now that there is a Judd Apatow-produced movie also in the works, I think it’s safe to say that Pee-Wee is back!

Fortunately, for those of us who weren’t able to see the stage show live, it will also be coming to HBO on Saturday March 19th. They’ve just released a short little teaser trailer for it, and while his voice doesn’t always sound quite like it used to, it’s pretty creepy just how little his face has changed over the past 20 years.
