Rotten Tomatoes Reveals Annual Golden Tomato Awards

Since we’re deep into awards season, I thought some attention to online accolades would be in order. Rotten Tomatoes has gained a reputation for being one of the most referenced sites for movie fans, both casual and hardcore. Even though it becomes a somewhat lazy shorthand as to whether people give a movie a chance or not, the site still serves as an easily accessible location for all your review needs. Each year Rotten Tomatoes compiles lists of the highest-rated films and crowns them as the coveted Golden Tomatoes. There are several categories in play, including Wide Releases, Limited Releases, and various Genre categories.

This year’s big winners are Toy Story 3 for best wide release (no surprise there) and Last Train Home for best limited release film. While I personally give more credence to the Film Junk Top 10 lists, it’s still interesting to see which films received the most love from critics over the past year. You can see a list of the winners in various categories after the jump. For a complete list of categories and rankings, check out Rotten Tomatoes, then let us know what you thought of the results.

Now that we’re already in the topic of RT. Does anyone know how i get to a films forum on RT? It used to be simple before, there was a button taking you to forums on the specific films page. But now that is gone, and i dont know how to get to RT forums for specific films. Anyone do?
