We’ve got a couple of fairly high profile January releases in theatres this weekend with Seth Rogen’s The Green Hornet and Ron Howard’s The Dilemma starring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. Neither of them seem to be garnering particularly favourable reviews, but they should at least draw a crowd. We also have a handful of smaller releases including Barney’s Version starring Paul Giamatti and Tony Jaa’s Ong Bak 3, the latter of which is playing on just a few screens but is also available on VOD. Additional selections include a pair of documentaries (Plastic Planet, Hood to Coast) and Norwegian crime comedy A Somewhat Gentle Man starring Stellan Skarsgard.
