Wow… I think I’m more intrigued by the shorts program at this year’s Sundance Film Festival than the feature film line-up. Last month I posted about Adam Yauch’s short film Fight For Your Right Revisited, which supposedly stars Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood and Danny McBride as the Beastie Boys. Now a promo has turned up online for another short in competition from Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, the duo behind Adult Swim’s insane sketch comedy show Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!.

It’s called “The Terrys” and the story revolves around two drug-addled losers who accidentally conceive a child together. Despite their initial contempt, eventually come to realize that the child has a “special purpose”. Knowing Tim and Eric, that could mean just about anything. The trailer for the film is another one of their patented hyper editing jobs, so it’s hard to tell what to expect, but I’m very curious to see what comes of this. Could this be their ticket to breaking into the movie industry? Their buddy Zach Galifianakis is already a huge star, so I don’t see why not.
