Happy Xmas film junkers! Thanks for all the hours of entertainment you’ve provided this year and previous ones. And a belated welcome to the regular team to Frank – luckily there’s a small space left on my arse for a Frank tattoo, right between Reed and Greg…

    Have a good one!

  • kyri

After Seing the T.Malick Trailer of The Tree of Life I went out and bought “The New World” dvd, For some reason I haven’t seen that movie yet. Maybe I can Hope to hear your thoughts about the Film on a future Podcast? I don’t recall you reviewing it in any of your earliest shows.

..It’s just Sad by the way that Greg is not on the show tonight again. You should Cut a portion of his Cut.

    :)

  • Greg

My apologies Kyri. With my job, my schedule becomes really tight starting in October. I could have half-assed this show because I had no desire to see Tron or I could use my very little free time this week to try and catch the Fighter and True Grit for our big 300th episode. It’s just not fair to the other guys on the show for me to not see the movie that they are reviewing and then do the show and just sit there.

  • kyri

haha, It’s ok man.. We all know you are busy with your Job n all. But you just oughta to know that the show is not the same without you.. :p

  • Paul Andrews

Perfect timing for my drive up to the Lake District for Xmas. Best wishes to Junkers and Junkies alike.

  • Frank

Goddamn, I forgot to suggest “Hot Sundae – Go For It” to Sean for the outro music.

the ‘moment’ that jay is talking about re: filmmaking, I felt that after Synechdoche NY for example

Someone needs to take the Toy STory 3 scenes and set them to psycho music ala Cooking With Gerry

  • anton

Yeah, just wanted to join the praise and thank the crew of FJ for all the entertainment and joy you’ve given:) Happy holidays!

  • Henrik

    Jesus loves Filmjunk! Merry Christmas.

Although it gets frustrating listening to a 40 minute review, with 10 minutes dedicated to various nitpicks… Since you’re so blatant about taking breaks to sleep or get food in the middle of movies, I think you should be more willing to cut them some slack for seeming confusing. Not that I’m in love with Tron or anything, but it just seems like the most boring aspect to focus on. Cut that shit out and keep the review a smooth 30 minutes would be my christmas wish!

  • Steve L

screw your wish….the nitpicking is part of the show’s charm, and I wouldnt change it.
As always guys..keep up the good work and have a Merry Christmas.
Oh, and Happy Holidays to all you politically correct pricks.

    :)

  • Matt

I also want to join the group here and thank the film junk crew for another wonderfully entertaining year, and wish you a Merry Christmas!

  • Echoing Jay’s comments about 3D. Sick of it and the “subtle” argument is bullshit. Just do it or don’t.

  • matty

Frank, I’m so glad you’re a regular on the FJ podcast now. No one else I know has seen Chasing Ghosts, but just about everyone’s seen King of Kong! It’s such an underrated documentary but I’d say better than King of Kong because of how much more objective it is in its approach. Happy Holidays everyone!

  • Berserker

What’s wrong with Sean’s voice. He sounds like a muppet.

  • rjdelight

Why on earth would Reed skip the 300 show?? Sean, start harassing him to make sure he shows up.

  • It’s actually not Reed’s fault. He’s out of town for the holidays, and so are a lot of the possible guests. It’s just bad timing. But Reed will appear on episode 300 indirectly. You’ll have to wait and see what I mean.

  • Film Ape

Sean very cool Exorcist and Inception posters. That is a great gift.

  • Mason

I had to pause the podcast when you started to talk about Exit Through the Gift Shop, since I had planned to watch it soon. So I watched it first, then listened to the discussion. I loved the movie- thought it was a perfect documentary. I had heard a lot of sources say it was great, but didn’t hear any in-depth analysis of it before. I was shocked to hear that people think all or parts of it are staged. I got no impression that this is true. If it is, it was hidden well, or I am just really naive. From my perspective, this is the front-runner for the doc Oscar.

  • Mark In Ottawa

WHOA ! Reed gets shafted on the visit to Philadelphia.

Any chance we’ll ever get to hear Roman on the Podcast ?

Frank is quickly becoming the best part of the podcast.

Oh yes – King of Kong !
