Film Junk Weekend Wrap-Up: Firestarter Remake, John Gotti Biopic, Another Wizard of Oz Movie

It’s been a little hectic around Film Junk HQ this month, and there are plenty of news stories that we didn’t have a chance to cover, so I thought maybe it would be a good idea to bring back the old Weekend Wrap-Up feature to throw out a hefty helping of leftovers. Among the headlines below you’ll find a new take on Stephen King’s Firestarter (which, you may remember, originally starred a young Drew Barrymore), another 3-D project for James Cameron, and a possible hint at Tom Cruise’s next role after Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. George Clooney also appears to have his hands full with a number of projects, and a new Catfish lawsuit could potentially unveil the truth behind the film. All that, plus a few trailers including new previews for Cars and Paul, and a comedy called Take Me Home Tonight from the director of FUBAR.

Actually, I didn’t know there was all ready a Firestarter film. But if her acting is as good in that as it was in ET or Cat’s Eye, then I’m definitely not checking that one out.
