First Look at Chris Evans as Captain America (Updated)

Update: As promised, a higher resolution version of the image has been added after the jump.
Update #2: Four more images added!
A couple of months ago, the costume designs for Captain America leaked online, providing plenty of fodder for fanboy debate. Since then we haven’t heard all that much about the movie, until this week. It looks like Marvel is finally ready to show something, and Cap is the cover story for the new issue of Entertainment Weekly. They’ve got a shot of Evans wearing the costume (sans mask) right there on the front.
The article also has interviews with Evans and director Joe Johnston, who gave them the following quote:
“The interesting thing about this character is that he’s an everyman who in the course of a few minutes become a perfect human specimen. That has to create some interesting personal issues… I saw it as an opportunity to make a superhero movie that felt real, that didn’t have to rely on an overabundance of fantasy elements.”
At the moment, this low-res cover shot is all we have, but I’m sure it will be more than enough to spark some discussion. I’ll add more pics and a higher resolution version if they become available. What do you think, is this the Steve Rogers you were hoping for? Captain America: The First Avenger hits theatres on July 22nd.
