Little Fockers Trailer Starring Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro

Let me start by saying that I had no problem with the first Meet the Parents flick. At the time, pitting Robert DeNiro as the tough guy dad against Ben Stiller, the hapless young man marrying his daughter, was somewhat inspired (though admittedly, it probably owed a lot to Analyze This). Then came the sequel, Meet the Fockers, which simply upped the shock factor and ran the same jokes into the ground. Now the cast is back for one last hurrah, a movie called Little Fockers, which finds Greg and Pam with two kids and a third one on the way. And Jack still doesn’t trust Greg.

This week the first trailer has arrived online, and I gotta say, it’s looking pretty clear that they should have just left this alone. Despite the the addition of Laura Dern, Harvey Keitel and Jessica Alba, they’re really grasping at straws. Even Jay Roach had the good sense not to return this time around, turning directing duties over to Paul Weitz (American Pie, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant) instead. I’m sure this will be a lucrative holiday blockbuster either way, but wow, I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere near it. Little Fockers hits theatres on December 22nd; check out the trailer in HD over at Apple.com or watch an embedded version after the jump.

Harvey Kaitel replaced Dustin Hoffman? Why isn’t he on the trailer?

I enjoyed the first two, especially number one, But yeah this looks exorbitantly uninspired and unfunny..

My girlfriend would love to see it though so i might check this out..

  • Dustin Hoffman is still in it, but I’m not sure why he’s not in the trailer.

  • Werner

Never went to the theater for the Fockers – but had fun watching the first 2 when they aired on TV. At least more enjoyable than getting a root canal treatment that is….

  • It just looks bland to me, i mean it doesn’t look insanely awful.

  • “FOCKERS” films are where iconic, quality actors go to die. Its the old-age-home-of-the-soul of film franchises.

this looks boring but Jessica Alba is in it and I’ll watch her do anything..
