I’m a little intrigued by it. But so far not enough details have been released yet for me to tell if its worth watching. I know one thing Johnny Depp is perfect as Jack and Geoffrey Rush is great as Barbossa as well. I just wonder how they’re going to do it without Orlando Bloom as Will and Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann I think those two were great. But as long as we have a good stoyr with the right characters and well written script to back it up we might have a winner here. So just have to wait and see.

I want to know what world the people who think the sequels were bad live in. Because, obviously, films as a whole must be a lot better since these apparently fall into the “bad” category there.

Yo Ho Its a Pirates Life For Me..
Its about time they put Blackbeard into the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Does anyone remember the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride at WDW when Captain Blackbeard was in it. With Blackbeard I think this film will be much better than At Worlds End.

My interest meter still hasn’t moved.

Marketeers will say ANYTHING to an audience continually disappointed by crappy sequels, trying to convince us that THIS time, they got it right! “Don’t worry, this one’s darker, it’s a reboot, it’s gritty, we hired an oscar nom, it’s back to basics!”

We’re slow learners but this is 3 sequels too many.

I think that Johnny will be excellent as usual, Rob Marshall should excel at this, the writers and cast are cool (Ian McShane cast as Black Beard is as good an example of casting as when Jason Isaacs was cast as Captain Hook) I enjoy the movies and without the two other asshole leads this might be a breath of fresh air – just easy on the CG…
