Things are about to pick up this weekend with the release of Toy Story 3, the latest film from the always dependable Pixar. This is a movie that’s basically guaranteed to make a ton of money, although it will be interesting to see if the slow summer trend has any effect on it whatsoever. Meanwhile, the other major release this weekend is Jonah Hex, which could have had potential but is more likely get buried in the dust as a result of poor buzz and terrible reviews. In limited release, The Duplass Brothers make the first high-profile mumblecore film in Cyrus, starring John C. Reilly and Jonah Hill, and IFC will release Michael Winterbottom’s controversial The Killer Inside Me starring Casey Affleck. Will you be watching anything this weekend?
