Weekly Poll Results: Best ’80s Fantasy Film

The results from last week’s poll may surprise some, but clearly The Princess Bride is an ’80s fantasy film that many people hold near and dear to their heart. It came out on top of the list by a fairly large margin, with its closest competition being Conan the Barbarian. Between the two of them, they covered about half of the total votes cast, while Labyrinth, Highlander and Willow rounded out the Top 5. Sword and sorcery genre purists will be disappointed to see Krull and The Beastmaster way down at the bottom of the list. Perhaps David Gordon Green’s Your Highness will re-ignite interest in these movies when it hits theatres next year? We can only hope.

All is null and void without the addition of The Neverending Story.

Missed the poll, but a worthy winner. I may have gone for Hawk the Slayer if it was there, but PB is great.
