Monday Morning Box Office Report: Dragon Continues to Soar

boxofficeapr26_10

It was a rough weekend for most of the new releases, as How to Train Your Dragon remained on top of the box office once again with a mere $15 million take. The Back-Up Plan starring Jennifer Lopez was its closest competitor, earning just over $12 million, while The Losers had an even more disappointing debut at #4 with $9.6 mil despite a fairly heavy marketing campaign. Kick-Ass fell 52 percent to #5 in its second week with $9.5 million, while Disney’s Oceans opened at #8 with just $6 million. Overall it seems like multiplexes were fairly silent this week, as people gear up for the summer blockbuster season which is just weeks away.

  • The Losers was very average. But I have more faith in Chris Evans now, his acting was very good.

How to train your Dragon was actually pretty good. 3D was a added bonus.

It´s a sad world we live in, where there isn´t more love for Kick-Ass. I´ve seen it three times now and I can´t fucking get enough.
