Heath Ledger’s final film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus opened back in December to little fanfare, and never did end up getting a wide theatrical release. As you may know, director Terry Gilliam brought in Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law to play alternate versions of Ledger in order to complete the film. Fortunately, the movie finally arrives on DVD and Blu-ray this week, and guess what… we’ve got one DVD copy to give away right here on Film Junk!

    i blind buy every gilliam film (i live ina small town and nothing ever comes out here) .. i hope this is as good as munchausen

  • I liked this movie, and would file Time Bandits, Munchausen and Imaginarium as a trilogy in my DVD collection.

    That’s a pretty good scoop getting a Heath Ledger interview. He hasn’t been seen in ages.

  • I’ll admit I am confused. This show sounds like a winner and a rare kind of movie the whole family can enjoy. Yet it got little attention. Why does this happen ? Other films that have little to offer and and performers who are not popular or famous get a lot of advertisement. I have been looking forward to seeing this show on the big screen, now …is it in a theater anywhere ??? I don’t get it. What determins how much advertisment a movie gets and how long or even IF it plays in the theaters ? Can you explain this ???
