We still have yet to see a trailer for The Other Guys, the latest comedy from writer/director Adam McKay (Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers), but we’ve finally been given our first glimpse at the movie this week in the form of one of those fancy motion posters instead. It’s hardly an ideal substitute for a trailer, but at least it gives a sense of what the movie is about and what we can expect from Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg’s characters.

The movie stars Ferrell and Wahlberg as two New York detectives who don’t always get the job done right, and find themselves constantly being shown up by Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson. It looks like it will indulge in some over-the-top action scenes in the vein of Hot Fuzz, but it clearly carries the same half-improvised humour that McKay and Ferrell have become known for.
