The Hurt Locker deserved to win. It is a tribute to our men and women who sacrifice so much for a better world and USA. It is based on what REALLY goes on. Unlike Avatar, which is a PC piece of I don’t know what. Avatar is not 1/4 as compelling as The Hurt Locker. And to think, this really happened/is happening every single day over there. As for the Sgt., I can see his point, but as someone said prior, a great many stories have some basis in fact. I don’t have an answer for him. But I think I would have tried to negotiate with the film company/director before I hired a lawyer(bottom feeder) that will take 1/2.

I’ve got a book of poetry called “Here Bullet,” Published by US ARMY infantryman Brian Turner in 2005.

Especially with all of this “controversy” going down, i’d bet my own human penis on Avatar winning Best Picture. It’s not a matter of wether or not it deserves the honor, I don’t think it does, i’d actually like to see “Up in the Air” take top honors. But it’s just a matter of how the Academy thinks. They want to honor a film that “changed things,” in a big grand way. Just read the article from last week, they interviewed academy voters and 3 out of 4 voted for Avatar.

yes indeed a great movie..
Just for the supermarket scene it should get the oscar..
..even though i love I.B for many reasons .. Hurt locker just touches those very special notes.. ..maybe it’s because i ve been to the army for some years ..i don’t know.. it also reminded me a little bit of ”There will be blood” in terms of character development and pacing..

I am really eager to hear ReedFaringhtons thoughts and views on this one..

This movie was solid amazing

It started tense, and then kept cranking the screws slowly and steadily

i agree this was a great movie and this sarver guy needs to chill the fuck out. “hurt locker” is military slang meaning a place where evilness is hidden. aka iraq cuz you dont know whos the enemy or what the bomb looks like so iraq is a “Hurt Locker”

just 19 millions is an insane small amount of money.. its like .. only 2.5 million people saw this movie.. worldwide.. its crazy!
