I think many people are missing out the Street Fighter Movie here which was quality, as was Mortal Kombat, I dunno what this’ll be like from the trailer but I’m still willing to stream and watch it online somewhere and buy it if it’s actually good.

Of all the videogames genres available, studio execs think the best ones to make movies of are fighting games. Why? Most have very little (or very poor) storylines and characterisation which serve only as an excuse to get characters fighting on-screen.

Yes, this looks bad, but definitely not as bad as Chun-Li, DOA or the many other D-movies that have come out.

Im a huge fan of Tekken…That’s why I still got some hope for this movie…I’m still really hoping and wishing that this game won’t let me down that much… or else I may not play tekken already…

I’ve really wish that they do a CGI movie version just like their intro…It would so much justify the game and its pure action…

Yes i do have the same emotional expectations form a movie similar to the ones i had while playing the game..

Yes i expect to be blown away..
Yes i expect Citizen kane with decapitations.

is this too much to ask from hollywood?

ok then lets pay 12$ to watch some asian guys that you DONOT control with a joystick fistfight for 90 minutes..

its like a childhood torture all over again.. watching someone else play videogames you cannot effort…

Lateef Crowder – Unbelievable Capoeirista, wait and see..
Anton Kasabov – Remarkable Taekwondo talent and master
Gary Daniels – Kickboxing champion
Darrin Henson – 15 years or martials arts under belt, also dance coreographist
Nathan Jones – live Craig Marduk
Ian Anthony Dale – Watch this guy out, he’ll make Kazuya look like a puss
Cyrill Raffaelli – The coreographist.. watch his parkour videos

I agree that the trailer is shit, but between casting real martial artists and setting it at an actual tournament I still have hope for this movie. So long as they keep the editing under control it could end up on par with Mortal Kombat.

Of course, I felt the same way over that Chun Li movie and look how that turned out.
