Film Junk Bonus Podcast: The Box

Certain movies require a little bit of extra discussion surrounding specific plot points and story elements in order to fully wrap your head around them. Richard Kelly’s The Box is most definitely one of these movies. With that in mind, we have recorded a separate bonus podcast for your listening pleasure that continues our discussion from the Film Junk Podcast Episode #242.

It’s about 25 minutes long, and digs a little deeper than our initial review — unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you’ll be any closer to understanding the movie after you hear it! Warning: This podcast definitely contains spoilers, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet, you might want to hold off.

why do you wait till the next day?

  • What is the music played for the outro?

  • wow: Because we like to make people wait.

Senor G: It is part of the score from The Box, same as the intro.

Sean…. you had four opportunities to play probably the best box-themed song of all times:

    Sigh. What a missed opportunity…

Isn’t that picture kind of a spoiler?

  • I don’t think so. It’s a publicity still released by the studio.

Can you tell what it is? I’ve seen the movie and *I* don’t even know what it is.

  • Falsk: Consider yourself lucky. I was considering Alice in Chains’ “Man in the Box”.

  • Falsk

    Pssssh. Touche. I GUESS.

Just can’t understand how Greg has no interest in the Road Warrior (never mind my Avatar)

Of ANY of you guys I thought he’d be the biggest fan of the franchise…sounds like he’s suffering from low testosterone and needs a hug.

    Hey Sean

The links to all the “Bonus – More” podcasts (The Box, Avatar, District 9, Inglourious Basterds) are all dead. Mind re-upping them?

  • The bonus podcasts should be back online again. Let me know if you’re still having problems.
