Warner Brothers Pulls Out Of He-Man’s Universe

By the power of Grayskull I shall report some bad news that will tremble the universe of masters everywhere: Warner Brothers has dropped the He-Man franchise for good!!!
I know, I know, it’s some crazy news that will take some time to completely comprehend. Warner has told Mattel that they no longer wish to have the power and has therefore decided to drop the forthcoming Masters of the Universe which was going to be a more modern (and by that less ’80s) version of the franchise than most people remember it as.
The move from Warner was expected though since they recently decided to devote more of their time towards DC Comics and their respective properties, which meant that other projects of the same nature would most likely get dropped. Mattel, however, hasn’t given up on the movie just yet and director John Stevenson (who directed the horrid animated feature Kung Fu Panda) is expected to remain with the project which they are actively searching to get set up elsewhere.
Mattel still has one project at Warner though: the film version of their car toy brand Hot Wheels, which I think will remain there as I doubt a car flick would be able to harm the DC properties in any way. But you never know. What do you think, is this a good move by Warners or should have they stayed inside He-Man’s universe? Also, to all the fans who might be sad over this possible delay of the film, YouTube has recently added the first season of the classic ’80s cartoon to their roster of TV series which should add some comfort in these sad times. Watch it here.
