I wouldn't call the A Serious Man poster bland. I think what sets it apart from these other posters is that it doesn't look like some graphic designer's photoshop orgasm. The fact that it is so simple and low key make it catching. And the subtle border gives it a sort of classic 1970s aesthetic.

Maybe I'm other-thinking this, but I'm very impressed by it.

I am looking forward to Law Abiding Citizen the most, but not crazy about these new posters.

Since Gerard Butler plays the subject (and once) Law Abiding Citizen, I'd like to see his face prominent and Jamie Fox so in the background and some different tag lines (not superimposed on the head).

All About Steve poster is fine and so is the Halloween one very clever (although I'm not interested in the Halloween movie itself).

Whiteout poster also good.

I really like the "Art and Copy" poster.
The "Law Abiding Citizen" poster is cool but the title gets a little lost because of the words that are larger in size on the poster. If the other poster was not underneath the first one - I would think the movie was called "Justice at any cost"

The Blood Drive posters for Saw are always top notch stuff.
The Extract poster looks terrible and All About Steve continues a popular trend in comedy movie posters, check Year One, Funny People and I love You Man. A trend that was started with 40 Year Old Virgin I think.
The rest are so so.
