Worst. DVD. Release. Day. Ever. Aside from the Oscar-nominated Waltz with Bashir, the only major releases out this week are Confessions of a Shopaholic, the Brendan Fraser fantasy dud Inkheart, and… The Pink Panther 2. Ewww. Oh but wait it gets better! There’s the Antonio Banderas/Morgan Freeman direct-to-DVD crime flick The Code, Simon Says starring Crispin Glover, Legend of the Bog starring Vinnie Jones, and the made-for-TV horror movie Backwoods starring Haylie Duff! At least there are a couple of Criterion releases and an older Mike Leigh movie called High Hopes… but seriously, that’s it.
