Weekly Poll Results: Best Pixar Movie

USA/

Well last week’s poll definitely got a lot of people talking, but when the dust settled, Wall-E ended up being voted the #1 Pixar movie to date followed closely by The Incredibles. It’s no surprise to see Cars and A Bug’s Life down at the bottom of the list, but I can’t believe Toy Story 2 was so far down there. When it came out, most people seemed to agree that it improved on the original… still, I suppose the original gets points for being the first feature-length computer animated movie EVER.

So anyway, now that many of you have seen Up, where do you think that should fit into the list?

1. Wall-E — 24.1%
2. The Incredibles — 22.7%
3. Toy Story — 18.4%
4. Monsters, Inc. — 10.7%
5. Ratatouille — 9.5%
5. Finding Nemo — 9.5%
7. Toy Story 2 — 2.9%
8. A Bug’s Life — 1.2%
9. Cars — 1%

why, WHy, WHY???? please, someone explain this to me. Why is Wall-E the best one. It was so stupid.

  • Aj

between ratatouille and toy story somewhere on that list. Wall-e’s the best because it surpassed being a cartoon, and turned into a film regardless of medium.

  • Matt Keith

For me its a tie between “Wall E” and ” The Incredibles”.

  • Niklas

    I absolutely loved Ratatouille
Incredibles and Wall-E are tied for 2nd spot

  • Ratatouille is the best. Up is honestly toward the bottom for me.

  • Monsters Inc. is my favourite.

And I think all babies/children under the age of 5 LOVE Cars. It’s a trend I’ve noticed and tried to figure out. If they knew how to use the Internet, it would have gotten much higher results.

“why, WHy, WHY???? please, someone explain this to me. Why is Wall-E the best one. It was so stupid.”

You have to be a complete and utter moron to think that. Why was WALL-E voted the best? Because it was the best. Get a brain and a heart and maybe you’ll understand. Until then keep watching crap like I’m sure you do if you hated WALL-E. What a complete and utter loser.

  • Matt actually knows what he is talking about. Rick go watch Monsters vs. Aliens you quefe.

  • Adam

Its all about Up now, surely??

  • Christian

I have to agree with Wall-E being no. 1. I could go into details as to why, but it simply was phenomenal in its story, visual, message, and as entertainment. The Incredibles is a definite no. 2.

Wow, I’m utterly shocked that this list is right in line with my own tastes. That almost never happens.

I’ve generally been almost exclusively a fan of Japanese animation from directors like Takahata, Miyazaki, and Otomo, but Wall-E and The Incredibles truly won me over. I’ve become a bit of a Pixar fan since then. I wish Ratatouille was two spots higher, but that is OK.

How the hell is Cars the last on the list? It’s ongoing sales and merch DESTROYS the combined sales of all the other movies on this list. I know grown men that have multiple full collections of the toys. Not to mention its by far a better movie then most of the others as well.
