First Photo of Sam Worthington in Clash of the Titans Remake

/Film brings us the first official photo from the upcoming Clash of the Titans remake directed by Louis Leterrier. Is it just me or does this look like something out of Outlander? Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing, but it seems to have a subtle modern, almost sci-fi edge. Maybe it’s just the texture and shape of the shield.

Sam Worthington stars as Perseus, and after his role in Terminator Salvation, and his upcoming role in Avatar, it seems a safe bet that he will be an established action star by the time Clash of the Titans hit theatres. Is he on track to be the next Gerard Butler? Clash of the Titans hits theatres on March 26th, 2010.

Worthington looks badass in that pic.

I like it – and look there is blood on sword unlike Wolverine…..
I hope it is better than terminator salvation. That heart crap at the end of the movie was the worst. Forced in … like gerbil It should of not been there.

I also just watched Clash of the Titans again last weekend and it can only really get better. It does not hold up in a lot of parts and I am not just talking the effects. The story could use alot of work.

  • I like the fact he isn’t buff. he’s got a pretty slim build, but still looks good. and despite his frame, he still looks like a guy who can take a hit. I mean, brad pitt has a great physique, and yet he still looks like a sissy.

  • Gerard Butler? Is that the best this guy can do? I have no problem with Gerard Butler personally, but you gotta admit he’s done some pretty horrible movies. The only one I’ve liked personally is Dear Frankie. I really hope Worthington gets the attention he needs with these action flicks and then expands into higher-profile dramas. He was amazing in the little Aussie flick Somersault with Abbie Cornish.

Oh man this is dumb. Another big dude like some videogame soldier character. Brute force and cold stares won’t save you from Medusa my friend. And I’m pretty sure the Kraken could care less.
