HBO’s Hung Trailer Starring Thomas Jane

If you’re looking for something to watch on TV this summer other than Wipeout, HBO’s got you covered. In addition to the return of True Blood and Entourage, they’re also launching the new series Hung next month, in the time slot following True Blood. Variety reports that Hung will premiere on June 28th at 10 pm EST.

The series revolves around Ray Drecker, a recently divorced, middle-aged high school basketball coach looking for something more in life. When an ex-flame suggests that he should put his package to good use, he sets off down a new career path — one that may not be as exciting as it sounds. While the show could probably get by on sex alone, the fact that Alexander Payne (Sideways, Election) directed the pilot and is credited as executive producer is enough reason for me to tune in. Boogie Nights meets Sideways? I’m there. Check out the promo trailer below and see what you think.

  • Jesus Christ. I think I am going to have to watch.

  • WTF!!!! SOMEONE STOLE MY LIFESTORY!!!

That looks cool and I’ve always liked Thomas Jane! Too bad I don’t get HBO. Just to expensive.

  • That’s the girl that Jack Black “gets naked and starts the revolution” with in Orange County.

  • Mitch

I still like Thomas Jane, he’s turned in some bad performances but I still think that he had the best performance in Boogie Nights. I watch most HBO shows so yeah I’ll definitely watch this.

  • Nuno

Thomas Jane’s acting seems bizarre in this footage. Is it just me or is he overacting a bit?

  • One of americas best directors (probably top-2 american directors working today) can’t get a film out so he’s directing a pilot for a TV company about a guy with a dick so big, it has comedic value.

    That is fucking pathetic.

  • Ian

This looks kind of different. Maybe funny (HBO can get a bit overwrought). I’ll check this out as a sequel to The Punisher.

  • In todays times the concept is totally believeable.
    I’ll be watching.

Looks fricking hilarious. Any show with the name Hung is definitely a hit. Cannot wait for the show to begin.

  • Little Bill

You fucked my wife in Boogie nights! In front of everyone and on the bathroom floor! Oh wait that was everyone besides you..including Stephen Hawking and that decapitated guy who gurgles gibberish every now and then? Glad I blew her brains out and then my own..should of raped her with my grass blade of a penis first…make her (not) hurt?

  • KM

This show is really funny. Jane Adams is ultra-sexy. I’m in love with her. The only weak points are the kids. We’re supposed to believe Thomas Jane and Anne Heche produced two ugly kids? Weak. Other than that, the show is great. I will be watching this every week.

  • Linda

Hung is my favorite show on TV. I wait all week in anticipation of seeing it. Thomas Jane and Jane Adams
are terific. I suppose there is a reason the children
are not what one would expect. The part Ann Heche plays
is boring. I’m glad the show protrays the problems and
hang ups people have. Jane’s character is so interesting. It makes me wonder what is in store for her. I think (Ray)is totally sexy and a very good actor. If I were asked for an opinion, I’d say increase the time of the show to an hour and lose Ann.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT.WAS THIS INTENDED FOR DESPERATE WOMEN OR WHAT.THERE NOT CONTENT WITH BUYING BLOODY GREAT PEICES OF RUBBER AND PLASTIC SHAPED LIKE A MANS DICK FROM SLUTTY SEX SHOPS, BUT THIS SHIT HAS TO BE SHOVED IN PEOPLES FACES.

  • Matt

Simon, CHILL THE FUCK OUT WITH YOUR CAPS BEFORE YOU HAVE A HEART ATTACK. IT’S JUST A SHOW. And if you looked up a trailer on it, and have watched an episode, then it’s not being shoved in your face, you are shoving your face in it. Change the goddamn channel, you pathetic sod. I mean the sow is called hung, so you can’t say you expected it to be a series about hanging or something, and if you are clicking on links or watching commercials/shows with this name then you have nothing to complain about, unless you click on them just to rant, which is a reflection of how sad your life must be at the moment. Anyways, Hung is a great show, and Thomas Jane is one of our best actors out there right now.
