It was incredibly clever and wry in a way most films, let alone most stoner films, will never manage. Guantanamo Bay was less impressive. It was traditional and standard in almost every way, although I’d say it was miles ahead of stuff like EuroTrip or the American Pies. If the third can recapture the magic of the first, then H+K will be cemented as a truly brilliant saga.

That was the thing about the first one; it was an intelligent stoner movie, not a dumb one. The second one was forgetable, but the first one was great.
