Over The Top Fest has been one of Toronto’s coolest and most adventurous indie music festivals for the past 7 years now, and a couple years back they decided to introduce a film festival program as well. They have previously screened such cult favourites as Crispin Glover’s What Is It? and The Machine Girl, but their 2009 line-up is definitely the strongest one yet.

Between Thurs. May 21st and Sat. May 23rd, the following films will screen at OTTF, many of them making their Canadian premiere:

• PVC-1 (Dir: Spiros Stathoulopoulos)
• Severed Ways: The Norse Discovery of America (Dir: Tony Stone)
• Tokyo! (Dir: Michel Gondry, Léos Carax, and Bong Joon-ho)
• Visioneers (Dir: Jared Drake)
• White Lightnin’ (Dir: Dominic Murphy)
