Film Junk Weekend Wrap-Up: Spider-Man 4 in 3-D, Brett Ratner’s Milli Vanilli Biopic, R.I.P. Bea Arthur

Big news for Twilight fans this week as 30 Days of Night director David Slade signed on to helm the third film Eclipse, while the first pictures from New Moon found their way online. Elsewhere, Fox dreamed up a last minute scheme to get people to see Wolverine in theatres, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s digital cameo in Terminator Salvation was confirmed, and Warner Brothers decided to give customers a way to upgrade their HD-DVDs to Blu-ray (for a fee). Plus, a Hollywood actor’s strike was quietly averted, and sadly, Bea Arthur has celebrated her final Life Day — she passed away this weekend at the age of 86.
