New To Theatres This Weekend: Coraline, Push, He’s Just Not That Into You, Fanboys

There are plenty of new movies hitting theatres this weekend, including the stop motion fantasy film Coraline, the romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You, The Pink Panther 2 starring Steve Martin, and generic sci-fi superhero flick Push. The biggest question mark, however, is the decision of The Weinstein Company to release the long-awaited Star Wars comedy Fanboys in less than 100 theatres nationwide. Is this all a part of some clever marketing scheme, or are they still strapped for cash? Also opening today in select theatres we have the Thai action film Chocolate and The Objective, a sci-fi thriller from Blair Witch director Daniel Myrick. What are you seeing this weekend?

Coraline looks alright, but I’ll catch it on DVD. There will plenty of movies I want to see in the theater, but they’re all months away from release. Too bad none of the studios will take the risk of putting a big movie in theaters right now instead of during the summer.

He’s Just Not that Into You blew away my expectations; i thought the two Jennifers (Aniston and Connelly) made a great team
