New Friday the 13th Remake Poster is Mind-Numbingly Dull

There are times when simplicity and minimalism in advertising can really catch the eye and/or make a bold statement. This is not one of those times. This poster for the new Friday the 13th movie is just uninspired, and even worse, it’s ambiguous. Is the number 13 really synonymous with the Friday the 13th series? At first glance, I thought this was a poster for the 13 Tzameti remake. LAME. (Regardless, I’m still looking forward to the movie.)

    that first poster was a definitive image of jason. Amazing poster. this one…not so much.

    The letters are too thin and too wide apart to make a proper impact.

    Didn’t the original have a poster released but no movie was made yet?

    Major factor was having savini onboard back then, just can’t see the remake being as inventive as those practical fx back then.
