honistly i think they should have slumdog millionare up there at like # 1 it was so good and got like 11 nokonies! LIKE THE TITANIC DID! and im also suprised they diddent put Twilight up there either i mean that wasnt real good but it did pretty dame well at the box office!

I expect some pretty strong backlash once the people not familar with the comic realize that all the action sequences of the entire movie have been shown in the trailer. “What’s this crap it’s like 2 and a half hours of talking and 10 minutes of action … and we already saw most of that.” I guess I’ve got some irrataional hate for this movie. I’ll conceade the comic is seminal but it’s not without it’s flaws.

Watchmen got my vote because it is the most intriguing of the films coming out this year. I am surprised that Up is not getting much love – the early photos and trailers make it look very promising. I would also agree that Public Enemies looks like it could be excellent.

The anticipation for Transformers 2 doesn’t surprise me. I thought the first one was shit but everyone I know disagrees. Anyway, I’m sure Avatar will blow every other movie away. Strange how, after so many mega-hits, Pixar’s movies often manage to fly under the radar. I have high hopes for (but a bad feeling about) Star Trek. I think Watchmen will do well because the general public sees it as something like The Dark Knight (and I hope it will be a fair comparison). Inglorious Bastards, Terminator & Harry Potter will have to bring something very special to stand out in all this movie-mayhem.

the only reason why cameron’s new flick is so low is because there really has been nothing said or even seen for that. what we have about 3 set photos and a maybe or maybe not picture of the concept art.

wait till more stuff comes out and guaranteed its going to be on top. cameron is a genius.

other than that. the list is pretty solid. happy to see star trek over bays eye candy transformers

hey i’m one of the biggest transformers fns out here, but even i am more anticipating the watchmen movie more than ROTF. That’ll probably change as soon as the first transformers trailer hits though! anyway, we can’t complain, with T4, star trek and wolverine joining in on the fun it’ll be one awesome summer!!

I’m pretty excited to see Inglorious Basterds provided Quentin can burst out of his bubble for at least one film, but if not, it will still be fun. As for Watchmen i think the trailers look pretty good, but a trailer is a trailer, and 300(while i did like it) wasn’t anything special. Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead was fun the first time i saw it, doesn’t really hold up for me now though. But i am most excited for Avatar, just because James Cameron has been hiding away burning his money and dancing around the flame like a crazy drunken cowboy who thinks he is sitting bull, he must have some crazy ideas by now.

Transformers sucked. Really, there was nothing redeemable about it, even for a mindless popcorn flick. It was two and a half hours of plot holes, boring CGI action sequences and product placement. In my opinion, Michael Bay’s worst movie and that’s saying something. I have little reason to believe the sequel will be any better. And it’ll make $300-$400 million.

As for the rest of the list, I’m probably most curious about Avatar. I wouldn’t say I’m anticipating it, just curious about it. Inglourious Basterds is probably the only one I’m actually anticipating. Maybe Up a little bit too, but it’s kind of the same thing with Ratatouille and WALL-E where I wasn’t really interested before they came out. Then I saw them and loved them. Hopefully the end result is the same with Up.

I’m of the opinion that all the hubbub over Watchmen release dates has skewed the poll in it’s favor. I’m personally way more excited about Wolverine, but not being a drooling fanboy, what do I know.
