Broken Lizard’s The Slammin’ Salmon Trailer Starring Michael Clarke Duncan

I have to admit, I’ve never been a big fan of the Broken Lizard comedy group or any of their movies, but I know some people really dig ‘em (especially Super Troopers). If you happen to be one of these people, you’ll be delighted to hear that the trailer for their latest flick has arrived online courtesy of Collider. The movie is called The Slammin’ Salmon and it stars Michael Clarke Duncan as a former heavyweight boxing champ who owns a Miami restaurant of the same name. When he finds himself in some serious debt, he decides to hold a contest among the wait staff to see who can earn the most money in a single night.

The cast includes some very funny and, in some cases, unexpected folks such as Will Forte (SNL), Michael Jai White (Spawn, Black Dynamite), Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Millennium), Carla Gallo (Undeclared), Jim Gaffigan (My Boys) and Olivia Munn (G4’s Attack of the Show). That said, the concept doesn’t seem all that interesting and the trailer looked pretty dull if you ask me. I didn’t laugh once. Am I the only one who thinks this looks horribly unfunny? The Slammin’ Salmon premieres at Slamdance later this month.

looks funny. weirdly long trailer though.

Looks like ass. Broken Lizard are a bunch of unfunny fuckers. I don’t care if they’re Canadian.

I loved super troopers when I was in high school. Re-watching it now it really doesn’t do anything for me except for some nostalgia. Saying that I LOVED Beerfest and am optimistic that this will be funny.

  • Neil M

Uggghh Olivia Munn? I don’t know why she thinks she is so funny on Attack of the Show. She must be banging one of those hacks in Broken Lizard. How did Gaffigan and Forte get roped into doing this? They are so above it.

  • Red font against a white background…IT WILL NEVER END.

    looks pretty bad

^^ ur opinion is gay just like your face.

  • Looks hilarious! The restaurant premise is nothing new, but it doesn’t look like its trying to go the Waiting route.

Loved all their movies, esp Super Troopers and Club Dread, so I definitely can’t wait for this.
