I agree with you, Nathan. The dumbing down reflex is a bad hollywood habit. It also makes it difficult to pitch and get read a “smart” script. Thankfully, it’s not impossible.

I’ll check out the BBC mini-series.

The BBC mini-series was really, really good! I would recommend that you check it out, if you thought this trailer looked good. I am sure that they will have to condense the plot and dumb it down for the American version. Too bad.

I saw this trailer before Valkyrie and I have to say, it looks extremely appealing with thought and intrigue. I didn’t realize it was based on the BBC show but that makes sense. I’m looking forward to this hopefully intellectual thriller.
