I hear you but what other type of comedy do you want? You want more Jim Carrey deciding to say “yes”? More Mike Myers as a Hindu? More Vince Vaughn Christmas movies with an absurd and unreal premise? More Adam Sandler with a remote control that controls people? Movies like this are exciting because it looks like real people, real situations and funny comedy. Keep making these hollywood.

Well, maybe it’s just me but this trailer makes the movie look like a buddy film. Which there’s totally nothing wrong with.. just answering your comment, Walter. It’s centered around a guy who is searching out his fellow bro-men with the message focusing on men claiming manhood with establishing themselves within their male group and with the life step of marriage. It’s a great story to tell. I’m just tired of this particular style of comedy, that’s all.

I love Samberg so much and will probably see this movie just for him.

As for the trailer itself… Sigh… I understand the humor, I understand the brilliant acting these guys can muster, and I can understand the perspective from a guy… But I’m so tired of it. Maybe I’m just being a girl who wants to really connect to this whole Apatow-style “hip” comedy… Nah, it’s just getting old. Sorry, dudes.

Spaced was a BBC show starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost now widely known for Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Simon Pegg is a regular guy, Frost is “Mike”, a territorial army obsessive who carries guns everywhere, always dresses in fatigues, and generally lives the military life everywhere he goes, to the point of ridiculousness.

I only meant to tease though Tom, I was just having a mild go at a military avatar with camo holding a gun. First thing I thought of was “That is so Mike from Spaced”

I don’t think that was Jim Carrey, but after watching this twice, it looks really generic and unfunny. I don’t know why I didn’t notice that the first time.
