You may have noticed over the past couple of weeks that Film Junk has been extremely slow or even inaccessible from time to time. The problem seems to be intensifying as of late, and I just wanted to let people know that we are aware of the problem and we are working to fix it. I’d like to say that it’s because we’ve had a sudden influx of new traffic, but I’m not quite sure that this is the case. If anything, downloads of the Film Junk Podcast have increased a bit, which may be killing our bandwidth.

Over the weekend I’m going to be moving the site to a new host, and I will probably also be disabling the podcast and video players in the sidebar for the time being. Hopefully this will fix the problem, although I know it makes it less convenient to listen. If the pattern continues, we may have to move the podcast over to libsyn or another separate service. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I think that once again it is probably a good thing as the site continues to grow. Thanks for your support everyone!
