Alright Whedon fans, I know you’ve already got at least 10 of these pre-ordered and ready to be forced into the reluctant hands of the uninitiated, but for those who aren’t in the know, here are the details on the DVD release for Joss Whedon’s wildly popular web series Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.

Available exclusively from Amazon (for now, at least) at a semi-reasonable price of $14.99 US, it will be shipping on December 19th — which means you should be able to get it just in time for Christmas if you use their two day express shipping option. Whedon says they may even have them ready to ship a few days earlier than that. The DVD includes two audio commentary tracks, one of which is done entirely as a musical and one of which is a real cast and crew commentary, along with the 10 best fan-submitted video applications for the Evil League of Evil, and some additional easter eggs.

Running time is listed as 100 minutes, but that obviously takes into account the extras since the 3 episodes only total about 45 minutes of material. Will people actually pay money for something they could already get online for free? Well, if Joss Whedon’s name is on it, I’m pretty sure they will!
