Film Junk Weekend Wrap-Up: David Fincher’s Chef, New Buffy Movie, Leonard Nimoy Star Trek Trailer

It was a pretty laidback week around the movie blogosphere, with our good friends south of the border primarily cooking up turkey dinners rather than cooking up major headlines. The Screen Actor’s Guild strike is still being discussed and drawing ever closer, meanwhile some details leaked out about a new Michael Cera movie that may end up being a must-see movie at Sundance in January. Elsewhere there is talk of a strange new David Fincher movie that will star Keanu Reeves as a chef, and the repercussions of the success of Twilight are being felt with a sequel getting immediately greenlit, and rumours of a Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie starting anew.

  • That Star Trek trailer is AWESOME! This is exqctly why I visit this site. I love seeing stuff like this on the web. I am constantly amazed at how much useful imformation one can find with just a little digging. Most traditional film schools tend to skip important topics in favor of technique and things like that. One program I found online offers one on one mentoring to assure that you have all the tools to feel comfortable and ready the first day you step onto a set. One such program is Film Connection. http://WWW.film-connection.com The best part is that their program is available anywhere in the US and Canada.

  • I can’t wait till Ace Ventura Jr. comes out. I can say with confidence that it will be much funnier than the original. Disney-style sequels are always awesome.
