It’s a very slow week in terms of new DVDs (especially considering that some people have already started their Christmas shopping) but the one major release is the new Get Smart movie starring Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. Brad Anderson’s Transsiberian is definitely worth a look, as is Global Metal, the sequel to the successful documentary Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey. Other releases include Luke Wilson’s latest low budget affair Henry Poole Is Here, the newest Futurama direct to DVD feature Bender’s Game, and the first season of Reaper. Also on Blu-ray this week: the Planet of the Apes collection, and Universal Soldier! Are you picking anything up?
