From Zombie Strippers to Tinkerbell, we’ve got DVD releases from both sides of the spectrum this week. In terms of noteworthy titles, though, there isn’t all that much to talk about. The family-friendly Brendan Fraser flick Journey to the Center of the Earth is out today, but without the 3-D theatrical experience it seems even less appealing to me. Larry Bishop’s Hell Ride also hits stores (I’ll have a review coming later today), along with the Harry Houdini biopic Death Defying Acts and the gritty Brazilian drug movie Elite Squad (Tropa De Elite). In terms of TV releases, we get complete series runs of The 4400 and The Flintstones, along with a great 20th Anniversary box set of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
