Special Halloween Screening of Clive Barker’s Midnight Meat Train at Empire Studio 8 in St. Catharines

This one’s for our readers who happen to live in the Niagara Region. We’re excited to announce the first of what will hopefully be many cool movie screenings happening in the area. The good folks over at the Empire Studio 8 at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines are going to be kicking off a new monthly event called “Fanboy Fridays”, where they show a special cult flick on Friday at Midnight, and Film Junk will be helping to promote and present it!

Here are the details on the very first screening:

Midnight Meat Train
Friday October 31st (Halloween) @ Midnight
Special Admission Price: $6.99

Directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus)
Based on the story by Clive Barker
Starring Vinnie Jones and Brooke Shields

Greg will be giving away some sweet prizes beforehand including awards for the Best Halloween Costumes, and 100% of the raffle proceeds go to Kids Help Phone. Pass the word along by joining the Fanboy Fridays Facebook Group and also feel free to suggest a movie for the November screening. Hope to see you out for the inaugural Fanboy Friday!

Oh man that’ll be fun. I can’t believe it’s called Midnight Meat Train I remember my buddy was telling me about an ad he saw for this like last year on our podcast. It sounded like a joke then I saw the trailer and wow.

  • I wish I could see this…living in a cabin “Within the Woods” makes it impossible. Ryuhei Kitamura may not be great with story but his visuals are marvelous (like Azumi being the closest thing to live-action anime ever) and I really want to see his American debut. Hopefully he doesn’t make shit over here like Woo.

  • “Midnight Meat Train” sucked. Bad. I waited so long to see it, and was so let down. Unfortunate.

  • after versus Ryuhei Kitamura can kiss my ass

Υou are all idiots Midnight meat train was Awesome..

Maybe if for once you shitty fan boys did not try to learn all the needy greedy details about the plot of a flim by watching all of the fucking trailers and all the ”inside” spoiler stuff outhere.. And just TRY watching the movie spoiler-free maybe this will help you enjoy something once in awhile..

    Nerds…

you wouldn’t know a Cult Classic if it was right under your nose…

This was a good flick. Didn’t care for the gay ass effects (3-D?), but the build up was good as were the extras on Clive Barker’s art gallery. That dude is whacked!
