Vin Diesel Signs on for xXx Sequel

Poor Vin Diesel. For a while there, it seemed like he really had it going on. He had a number of hit action films behind him, and he was moving on to bigger and better things. He was going to direct a movie about Hannibal the Conqueror, and he was getting offered roles in different types of movies, like the Sidney Lumet film Find Me Guilty. But maybe that was all just an illusion, because now it looks like he’s right back where he started.

He had already signed on to return to The Fast and the Furious franchise for part 4, which was a bit of a surprise, but after Babylon A.D. didn’t do so well at the box office, it appears that he has now decided to go back to the well for another easy sequel: xXx 3. According to Variety, Diesel has signed on to reprise his role as the “exXxtreme” secret agent Xander Cage, and director Rob Cohen is back on board as well. The movie will apparently be called xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, although a script still has yet to be written. Do we really need another xXx film? The first one was okay I suppose, but when you can only get Ice Cube for the first sequel, that should tell you something.

    Oh GOD YES! This news just made my whole year! Nah, I’m just joshin’. I expect this to be as successful as Babylon AD was. The pacifier has had his day, and it has come and gone. This movie reeks of desperation, just as musch as Fast and Furious does. He was good in Saving Private Ryan, Pitch Black, and The Iron Giant. And a whole lot of nothing in everything else.
    It’s time to write your career obituary, Vinnie. Oh wait, I just did.

    Personaly, I liked the first xXx film, I was hope to see Vin in the the second one again, I didn´t like with Ice Cube, he sucks. Certainly I´ll like the third part with Vin Diesel again if there are a convincent story and good actions scenes, just don´t do a fourth, a fifth, a sixth part.

    I think it´s going to happen exactly the same than the Fast and Furious films, the first was the best, second and third parts didn´t like and fourth was the real second part.
