I really wish they would give us a BD. Hopefully, they just don’t push around the same shit prints for the re-release. I’ll drive the extra distance to see it in DLP because I don’t want none of that line scratch going down every reel like the There Will Be Blood had in my area.

(Yes, I’m intent on seeing it in theatres again because I haven’t done that yet.)

Another aspect of this is that it may then overtake Titanic in sales, if it can do about 80 million in January with it’s re-release.

You’re right, a lot of people are saying that there’s no major Oscar buzz building for anything at the Toronto Film Festival this year, except maybe The Wrestler. Depending on how things like W, Changeling, Frost/Nixon, Milk and Australia do, it could be a pretty thin year.

I think it actually has a chance.. I mean, not that it would, say, last year (with there will be blood, and No COuntry… and well, Juno, I guess) But is it just me, or is this year particularly dull in that sense? I realize the year’s best usually come out in the second half of the year, but I haven’t heard of any other potential Oscar contenders.. On the level of last year’s, at least…
