Seth Green and Breckin Meyer Joining Cast of Heroes Season 3?

Like many shows last year, the second season of Heroes was cut short due to the writer’s strike, so I won’t hold it against them that it was perhaps even more anti-climactic than the end of season 1. That said, Tim Kring and Co. have a lot to make up for this season, as Heroes has been seriously stretching the limits of watchability in my opinion, and I’m on the verge of losing interest. So now imagine my excitement when I heard this juicy little scoop about two new faces who might be joining the show this season. (Note: That was sarcasm.)

According to Entertainment Weekly, Seth Green and Breckin Meyer have signed on to star in multiple episodes of the third season of Heroes as — get this — comic book geeks who “cross paths with (and perhaps serve as advisors to) one of the Heroes”. Great, so now we’re going to have these two fanboys babbling on about the rules of comic books and how things are supposed to happen. That just sounds HILARIOUS. I guess it’s supposed to be cool because Green and Meyer are best buds in real life and they actually read comics, but this does not bode well for Season 3 if you ask me. It should still be considered a rumour right now, but Michael Ausiello claims that multiple sources have confirmed it for him. Season 3 premieres on Mon. Sept. 22nd … are you looking forward to it?

  • Wes

Absolutely I’m looking forward to it. I just recently rewatched Season 2 and it’s got it’s ups and downs but it’s not a bad season.

  • I’ve been told this is “the best series ever” and have only seen the very first episode. I wonder if the Blu-ray of season one is gonna be worth it…

I was thinking that they could fill each others roles (they are the same “type”). I like Seth Green though (more for Robot Chicken than anything) so it may be ok.

  • Mike

Hell yes I’m looking forward to it! Season two was just hitting it’s stride when the writers gave up! So this season seems to be set up pretty well…

    Consider my Tivo set!

  • I agree with Mike, season 2 had just really hooked me when it ended abruptly because of the strike. The first few episodes were lost and all over the place, but they had focused it all back together, and even justified some of the loose plots of the season when it had to end. I’m very much looking forward to season three.
