Lots of juicy gossip for the tabloid rags this week, including Morgan Freeman’s car accident (followed by his supposed divorce), Christina Applegate’s breast cancer diagnosis, and now Bernie Mac’s unexpected death. Looking beyond all that, however, one of the big stories of the week that we didn’t get a chance to report on was a massive flood of casting announcements for Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards (Brad is in, Leo is out). A handful of photos were released from John Hillcoat’s The Road (the next movie based on a book by Cormac McCarthy, author of No Country for Old Men) and it looks pretty awesome. And as always, plenty of remake and sequel talk, including a few more hints about Indiana Jones 5.
